William Daris “Wild Bill” Hilbert 80 of Freeland a guest at Fritzingertown passed away Sunday May 17 at the Wilkes Barre VA Medical Center.
Born on May 10, 1947 in Bethlehem he was the son of the late Homer and Ruby Thomas.
Wildbill loved his wife and family, playing in his band County Storm, video games, and watching the Eagles, PennState, and all local sports.
He was an honorably discharged Army Veteran serving from 1965 to 1970 during the Vietnam war where he was the reciepent of the Purple Heart medal.
Preceding him in death in addition to his parents was his wife Margaret 2020. Son; Jason. Sisters; Rhoda Haddock and Naomi Hilbert.
Surviving are his Daughter; Brooke Spatz and James Butler. Sisters; Mary Ann Prokopovich and her husband Jack, Phyllis Carpenter- Ohio, Patricia Jarrell- South Carolina, and Sharron Brubaker- Ohio. Grandchild; Alysha “Twinkle Toes” Milore and her significant other Michael Hoffmaster. Great grandchildren; Lily Hoffmaster and Kinsley Hoffmaster also survive.
Friends may call at the McNulty Funeral Home 494 East Butler Dr. Freeland on Wednesday from 9 to 10am.
Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Drums.
