In Loving Memory of Mary Ann Kotansky
Mary Ann Kotansky, 67, of Hazle Township, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, October 16, 2026.
Born to the late Robert and Barbara (Dunick) Ketterer. Raised in Frackville, Mary Ann was a 1977 graduate of North Schuylkill High School.
Mary Ann was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She will be remembered for her unique and funny personality, her happiness, and the joy she brought to the people around her. Above all, Mary Ann treasured spending quality time with her husband, son and grandchildren, creating memories that will remain in their hearts forever.
Mary Ann had a special love for her pets and flowers. She found happiness in the beauty of her pond filled with fish and the peacefulness of being near the water. Mary Ann is survived by her husband of 42 years, Tony Yackimowicz. Son: Wesley Kotansky, Jr. and his wife Susan. 3 grandchildren: Chloe, Carter, and Chase. Sisters: Cheryl Marshall and Jan Ankenbrant. Brothers: Ronald Ketterer and Brian Ketterer.
Though Mary Ann is no longer with us, her love will live on through her husband, son, and grandchildren, and the memories they shared. Her love and laughter will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Her family and close friends will privately gather for a ceremony to remember, honor, and celebrate her life.
