Oscar R. Strohl

Oscar R. Strohl 88 of Freeland a guest at St. Luke’s Pavillion where he passed away Thursday August 1.

Born in Weatherly on March 5, 1938 he was the son of the late Vernon and Ellen (Pakola) Strohl.

He was a member of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church, Freeland. 

Oscar was an honorably discharged Army veteran.

Before retiring he was employed as an aid at the former White Haven Center.

He enjoyed sports, fishing, and pinochle.

Preceding him in death in addition to his parents was his Wife; Lillian-2015.

Surviving are his Son; Richard. Sisters; Ruth Ann and her husband Charles Campall – Toms River NJ and several nieces and nephews also survive. 

Friends may call at Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Parish 898 Centre St. Freeland on Wednesday from 9 to 10am Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10am.

Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Drums.

McNulty Funeral Home 494 East Butler Dr. Freeland is in charge of arrangements.
