Elaine S. Thomas 79 of Drums passed away Tuesday March 12 at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Hazleton.
Born in Hazleton on May 6, 1945 she was the daughter of the late John and Helen (Marinko) Opiary.
She was a member of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Parish, Freeland and a 1966 graduate of Mercy Hospital diploma school.
Before retiring she was a Register Nurse for St. Boniface, NJ and the White Haven State School.
Elaine loved her family, gardening, pediatric nursing, her clients at White Haven Center and taking care of her parents.
Preceding her in addition to his parents were Brothers; Richard and Johnny Jr.
Surviving are her Husband of 45 years Leo Thomas. Brother; Thomas and his wife Phyllis Opiary-Drums. Nephew; Thomas and Great Nieces; Alyssa, and Kristen also survive.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday March 17 at 10am in Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church 898 Centre St. Freeland.
Friends may call at the church Monday morning from 9:30 to 10am.
Burial will follow in St. Ann’s Cemetery, Freeland.
