Barbara Nocchi, 76, of Freeland passed away Thursday May 15 at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Hazleton.
Born in Hazleton, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Helen (Stefanick) McCarro.
She was a member of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Parish, Freeland and was a graduate of Freeland High School and the Sacred Heart School of Nursing, Allentown.
Before retiring, she was a Registered Nurse for St. Luke’s Manor and was Director of Nursing for Weatherwood Nursing Home.
Barbara loved spending time with her family and grandchildren. She enjoyed reading books, gardening, music, musicals, sewing, and watching movies.
Preceding her in death in addition to her parents were Husband of 50 years, Martin in 2019. Surviving are her two sisters, Joanie Klem and Patsy Ashman, her six children, Teresa & her husband Walter, Lisa and her husband Rob, David and his wife Maria, Marty, Daniel and his wife Susan, Kathleen and her partner Nick Evancho, her grandkids Brianna and her partner Jason Snyder, Luke, Sofia, Christopher, Alexander, Steven, Nicholas and one great grandchild, Martin.
Funeral will be held on Tuesday May 20th 9:30am from the McNulty Funeral Home 494 East Butler Dr. Freeland with Mass of Christian Burial 10am in Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Parish 898 Centre St. Freeland.
Burial will follow in St. John’s Cemetery, Freeland.
Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 6 to 9pm.
