Enrico J. DeMatt, 82, of Freeland, passed away at his home on Sunday, June 28, 2026.
Born in Hazleton on September 9, 1943, he was the son of the late Daniel and Amelia (Bellucci) DeMatt.
Before retiring, he was a resident advisor for the Keystone Job Corps.
Enrico loved his 4 children and 8 grandchildren, as well as watching any sports from high school basketball to college football to pro baseball. His favorite teams were the NY Yankees and Penn State. At one time, he volunteered for the Freeland Little League as their scorekeeper and for the local church basketball league as a coach.
Preceding him in death, in addition to his parents, were Brothers, Neil DeMatt & his wife Janet; and James DeMatt & wife Joanie.
Surviving are his wife of 57 years the former Carol Fedor; Sons Enrico Andrew DeMatt and wife Linda, Stamford, CT; and Christopher and wife Angela, Drums; Daughters, Danielle Fisher and partner Nick Kline, Freeland; and Lori Ann Honis and husband, Joseph, Hazle Township. Also surviving are Grandchildren Jason, Selena, Christina, Kaitlyn, Kathrin, Enrico Anthony DeMatt and Justin Fisher, as well as Austin Sikora and wife, Emily. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
McNulty Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements with services to be held at the McNulty Funeral Home, 494 East Butler Dr., Freeland on Thursday 11:45am. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday, 7/2, from 10 am to 12 noon.
