Ida K. Sholedice 88 of Freeland passed away May 27 at her home.
Born July 14, 1937 in New York, New York she was the daughter of the late Arkadi and Agatha (Wettik) Oun.
She was of Lutheran faith.
Ida was a 1955 graduate of Walton High School, Montgomery College with an associate’s degree in early childhood education and East Stroudsburg University with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education and early childhood development where she was top of her class.
Before retiring she was the director of child services at the Hazleton YMCA and YWCA where she received the Pearl Award.
She loved her grand and great grandchildren, crocheting, knitting, camping, fishing, hunting, raising beagles with her husband Dick, butterflies, and making sausage and scrapple.
Preceding her in death in addition to her parents was her husband; Clarence C. “Dick” 2025. Granddaughter; Ciara Kibler-2001 and son; Jeffrey Biery-2024 also preceded her in death.
Surviving are her sons; Mark Biery and his wife Jill and Chris Biery and his wife Brenda. Daughter; Diane Kibler and her companion Godfrey. Sister; Rita Fenley and her husband Jim. Many grandchildren and great grandchildren also survive.
Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
