Darlene Solomon 73 formally of Jeddo Borough who passed away Monday at the home of her daughter surrounded by family. 

Born in Hazleton she was the daughter of the late Harry Fisher and Vivian Tempest. 

She was a member of St. Gabriel’s Church, Hazleton and attended church at Weatherly Faith Church and a graduate of Norte Vista High School Riverside, California. 

Before retiring she was an LPN for Weatherwood Carbon County Home, Weatherly.

Darlene loved her family, grandchildren, great grandchildren, friends, and church. She enjoyed gardening, and traveling especially to Italy, Scotland, Ireland, Paris and London.

Preceding her in death in addition to her parents were Husband; David Dean Solomon – 2014. 2 brothers and 1 sister. 

Surviving are her children; SaRae and partner Vicki Shiner, Donovan and his wife Melie, Thomasina Miller and her fiancé Ed Graaf, Danny Fisher and his wife Honey, and Allen Solomon. Grandchildren; Mark and his wife Brittany Miller, Kaitlyn Miller and her fiancé Mike, Dallas and his wife Cleo Solomon, Dylan Solomon, and Dax Solomon. Great grandchildren; Delilah, Mark Miller III, Dakota Filler, Cooper and Jace Miller. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in St. Gabriel’s church 122 South Wyoming St. Hazleton on Friday January 23 at 12 noon. 

Friends may call at the church Friday from 11 to 12 noon.

Burial will be at the convenience of the family.

McNulty Funeral Home 494 East Butler Dr. Freeland is in charge of arrangements.
