Caroline Chakan 92 of Freeland who passed away Tuesday at her home.
Born in Hazleton she was the daughter of the late Louis and Caroline (Monsarno) Ravina.
She was a member of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Parish, Freeland.
Before retiring she was a seamstress for the former Freeland Sportswear and was employed at the former St. Joseph’s Hospital, Hazleton as a dietician and laundry aid.
Preceding her in death in addition to her parents was Husband; Thomas 1994. Brothers; Leo, Robert, and Louis Ravina. Sisters; Hilda Murmello, Clara Evancho, and Loretta Nelson and Nephew; John Evancho also preceded her in death.
Surviving are her children; Joe and his wife Melane Evancho and their children Melena and Joseph, Nick Evancho and his fiancee Kathleen Nocchi, Caroline and Gary DiNoia and their son John, Barbara Evancho and her children Nadine Beer and John Evancho also survive.
Prayer service will be celebrated on Monday December 8, 10am at McNulty Funeral Home 494 East Butler Dr. Freeland.
Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday morning from 9 to 10am.
Burial will follow in St. Anthony’s Cemetery, Freeland.
