Clarence C. “Dick” Sholedice

Clarence C. “Dick” Sholedice 87 of Freeland passed away while surrounded by his family October 1st at Lehigh Valley Cedar Crest.

Born in East Side Boro on September 9, 1938 he was the son of the late Clarence Carter and Hazel (Keiper) Sholedice.

He was a member of First Presbyterian Church, White Haven.

Dick was a 1959 graduate of Weatherly High School and an honorably discharged Army Veteran as a Medic that trained cadets at West Point Academy under the command of General Westmoreland.

He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren, hunting, fishing, raising Beagles, giving great compliments, and he will be remembered for his great sense of humor.

Preceding him in death in addition to his parents was his first Wife; Irene Gresh. Sister; Viola Eroh – Flynn. Granddaughter; Ciara Kibler and Stepson; Jeffrey Biery also preceded him in death.

Surviving are his wife of 39 years the former Ida Oun. Stepsons; Mark Biery and his wife Jill and Chris Biery and his wife Brenda. Stepdaughters; Diane Kibler and her companion Godfrey Bellinghausen and Patricia Matisak and her husband Ron. Sister; Arlene Thomas and many step grandchildren, step great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews also survive.

Services will be held at the convenience of the family.

McNulty Funeral Home 494 East Butler Dr. Freeland is in charge of arrangement.
