William E. Schultz 80 of Freeland passed away Sunday at Geisinger Bear Creek.

Born June 12 1942 in Freeland he was the son of the late William Albert and Ethel (Simms) Schultz.

He was a member of St. Luke’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Freeland and the American Legion Post 473.

Bill was a 1960 graduate of Freeland High School and an honorably discharged 3 year Army Veteran serving in Germany.

He retired from Tobyhanna Army Depot in 1996 after 33 years of Service and was currently employed for Blue Ridge Reality in Blakeslee as Manager of the Stretch, the company’s fishing club.

Bill loved fishing and bowling at St. Michael’s Lanes, Freeland.

Surviving are his wife of 56 years the former Elsie R. Shelhamer. Sons; William W. Swoyersville and Brian and his wife Kelly-Shippensburg. Sister; Dolores Job. Grandchildren; Mikayla Renee, Abbigail Elizabeth, and Zachary William.

Services will be celebrated 11am on Saturday August 6 in St. Luke’s Evangelical Lutheran Church 627 Main St. Freeland. Rev. Wayne Kaufman will officiate.

Friends may call at the church Saturday morning from 10 to 11am.

Burial will be at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers donation can be made to St. Luke’s Church.

McNulty Funeral Home 494 East Butler Dr. Freeland is in charge of arrangements.
