Virginia J. Chocolas

November 6, 1936 - June 11, 2021

Virginia J. Chocolas 84 of Freeland who passed away Friday at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Hazleton.

Born in Jeddo she was the daughter of the late George and Mary (Halvatskie) Yourko.

She was a member of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Parish at St. Ann’s Church and a 1955 graduate of Foster Township High School.

Virginia was an assembler for Tung-Sol and a wonderful mother and housewife of her own home.

She loved Elvis, going out to eat with her daughters at Freeland area restaurants, and shopping at Boscov’s.

Preceding her in death in addition her parents are Husband; Edward- March 4, 2017. Brother; David Yourko, Sister; Rose Mary Clouser, and Nephew; Steven Yourko.

Surviving are her Daughters; Caroline and Mary Jean both of Freeland. Nephew; David Yourko- Kansas, Brother in law; Lynn Clouser and many close friends who she considered family also survive.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated 10am Friday June 18 in Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Parish at St. Ann’s Church 898 Centre St. Freeland.

Friends may call at the church Friday from 9 to 10am.

Burial will follow in St. John’s Cemetery, Freeland.
