Theresa M. Starruick

May 5, 1949 - December 21, 2023

Theresa M. Starruick 74 of Freeland passed away Thursday December 21 at Mt. City Nursing and Rehabilitation.
Born in Hazleton she was the daughter of the late George J. and Frances (Zahay) Hvisc
She was a member of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception, Freeland.

She loved her family, friends and grandchildren and loved spending time with them. She loved traveling to the beach, dining out with her husband, and listening to Elvis music.
Before retiring she was a manager for the former Orloski’s in Freeland and was a waitress at the former Mt. Laurel Resort and Perkins, Hazleton. In the later years of her life she was employed at the Keystone Job Corps as an Residential Advisor. Theresa loved, accepted, and was kind to everyone.
Preceding her in death in addition to her parents was Brother; George T. and her best friend Debbie Palko.
Surviving are her Husband of 21 years Mark. Sons; Thomas, Daniel, and Brian and his wife Patricia, Grandchildren; Mitchell and Shane and great grandchildren; Gabriel, and Paige, nieces nephews and cousins.
The family would like to thank Mountain City Nursing and Rehabilitation and Compassus Hospice Care.
Friends may call at Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Parish at St. Ann’s Church 898 Centre St. Freeland on Wednesday December 27 from 10 to 11am.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11am.
Burial will follow in St. John’s Cemetery, Freeland.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Hazleton Animal Shelter 101 North Poplar St. Hazleton Pa. 18201 or to a charity of one’s choice.
