Theresa C. Zoshak

October 3, 1934 - March 29, 2018

Theresa C. Zoshak, 83 of Freeland, PA passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, March 29, 2018 at LVHN Hazleton. She was the Widow of Paul “Ziggy” Zoshak Sr. who passed away on July 5, 2012. They were married for 55 years. Born in Hazleton on October 3, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Mary (Ward) and Thomas Johnson. She was a graduate of St. Ann’s High School in Freeland and a member of Our Lady of Immaculate Conception Church in Freeland.
Theresa was a “checker” for many years at Genetti’s and Joe Mac’s in Freeland and Hazleton and a longtime caregiver to many before retiring.
She loved playing Bingo, taking trips to the Casino, spending her winters in Sarasota, FL and bragging about her beloved grandchildren. Despite her physical challenges, Theresa remained so active at The Laurels participating in all their activities and trips. She was loved by all.
Survivors: Her Three Children, Mary Susan Sisock and husband John of Freeland, Terese Cudwadie and her husband Michael of Allentown and Paul “Ziggy” Zoshak Jr. of Freeland. Grandchildren: Joshua Sisock and his wife Kim of Freeland, Jonathan Sisock and his wife Amanda and son Gage William of Allentown, Sarah Hammett and her husband James of Tennessee, Michael Cudwadie and his fiancé Laura Baumann of Center Valley and Adam Cudwadie and his fiancé Michelle McCormack of Philadelphia. She is also survived by her loving sister Agnes Ferreira.
She was predeceased by her five siblings Mary Herring, Grace Slegeski, Ursula Rudy, Thomas and Joseph.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 9:30 AM Tuesday April 3, 2018, in Our Lady of Immaculate Conception R.C. Church, 898 Centre Street, Freeland PA. Viewing will be held Monday, April 2 6:00 – 8:00 PM and Tuesday, April 3, 8:00 – 9:00 AM at McNulty Funeral Home, 494 East Butler Drive, Freeland, PA.
Burial will follow in St. Ann’s Cemetery, Freeland.
