Steven Clark

October 9, 1954 - September 23, 2023

Steven D. Clark, 68, of Hazleton, passed away after a brief illness on September 23rd 2023. He was surrounded by his family and friends at Lehigh Valley Hospice, 17th and Chew Street, Allentown.

Born in Staten Island, Steve was the son of the late Raymond and Margaret (Dempster) Clark. He recently retired from Lehigh Valley Hospital, where he was employed in plant operations. He had a lifelong career in the automotive industry with the former Highway Automotive, Freeland and in the construction industry with the former Joseph Miorelli and Co., Hazleton. In his formative years, Steve was a record breaking street stock driver at Evergreen Raceway, in his trademark #17 Monte Carlo.

While Steve left an unforgettable legacy in the racing world community, his legacy also will live on through the significant impact that he made with his friends and family. Surviving are his Daughter, Josine Clark, of Mechanicsburg and her children Gianna and Nyla; his sister, Carol Uston, and his companion, Marianne Herbener. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at McNulty Funeral Home on Saturday October 7th from 2 to 4 pm.

Burial will be private at the convenience of the family at Ss. Peter’s and Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery, Freeland.
