Michael F. Ackerman

February 12, 1956 - September 1, 2017

Michael Frank Ackerman, 61, of 234 Main St Highland passed away on September 1, 2017 unexpectedly at his home.
He is survived by his father Edward Ackerman Boston, MA; sister Michelle Ackerman and her husband Greg Marencin, Boston MA; niece Jordyn Marencin Boston, MA and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Preceding him in death were his son Jeffrey Ackerman Hazelton, PA in 2014; mother Shirley (Jupin) Ackerman Highland, PA in 2010; brother Wayne Ackerman Oregon in 2016.
Mike served in the US Marine Corps. He retired from Toby Hanna Army Depot as an electrical engineer and the union shop steward. He was currently employed at United American Security.
Mike was a member of the Freeland American Legion Post 473. He was a past president of the Home Association.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate the memory of Mike at a memorial service on Sunday September 10, 2017 from 1-3 pm at Mcnulty Funeral Home, 494 E. Butler Drive, Freeland.
