Mary Ann McGeehan

Mary Ann McGeehan, 81, of Freeland, Pa, passed away after a brief illness on Sunday, September 24, 2023, at Mercy St. Charles Hospital, Oregon Ohio.
Born in Freeland, Pa, she was the daughter of the late Eugene and Rose (Cataldo) McGeehan.
She was employed as a packager for Chilly Things Ice Cream Factory in Toledo, Ohio. She also worked in the dietary department for the Mount Laurel nursing home in Hazelton for 10 years.
She enjoyed visiting Lora’s Grilled Beef ‘n’ Cheddar & More every morning to have great conversations with the “Lora’s” gang. MaryAnn enjoyed volunteering at the church functions when she was able to. She always considered Freeland her home, even while raising a family in Ohio.
Preceding her in death, in addition to her parents, was sister; Lucille Tarilla and her little buddies, Amos and Andy.
MaryAnn is survived by her loving daughters Patti (Jose “Leo”) Silva and Barb (Ally Sparaco) Yates; grandchildren Doug (Stephanie Connolly) McCoil, Chris (Lindsay) McCoil, Jessika Yates, Anthony (Krista) Yates, Sammi Silva, Jordan Silva, and Austin Yates; great-grandchildren Jackson McCoil, Brycen and Laney McCoil, and Weston and Warren Yates.
Friends may call at Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Parish, 898 Centre St., Freeland, Pa, 18224 on Wednesday October 4 from 9 to 10am.
Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10am.
Burial will follow in St. Anthony’s Cemetery, Freeland.
