Lai Ngoc Nguyen

January 16, 1948 - April 12, 2017

Lai N. Nguyen, 69, of Freeland, PA died Wednesday afternoon at Northern Nevada Medical Center, Sparks.  
Born in Vietnam, she was the daughter of the late Nguyen Van Lam- father and Tran Thi Cu- mother.  
She was a member of St. Mary’s Byzantine Catholic Church in Freeland.  
Lai loved God and children.  
She spent her life taking care of her nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.  
Preceding her in death in addition to her parents are brothers; Nguyen Thanh Tan and Nguyen Van Lu, sister; Nguyen Thi Tai and brother-in-law; John J. Pohida.  
Surviving are her sisters; Xe Thi Pohida and Xuan Kiem Nguyen and husband Bay Van Nguyen, brother; Nguyen Ngoc Thanh and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great nephews.  
Office of Christian Burial will be Celebrated Saturday 9:30am in St. Mary’s Byzantine Catholic Church 643 Fern St. Freeland. Rev. Scott Boghossian will officiate.
Friends may call at the McNulty Funeral Home 494 East Butler Dr. Freeland on Friday from 4 to 6pm and on Saturday from 8 to 9am.
Panachida will be celebrated by Rev. Kiem Dang Friday evening at the funeral home.
Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Drums.
