John S. Heller

June 5, 1959 - November 12, 2023

John S. Heller 64 of Freeland passed away at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest on as John would say “Sunday A Day of Rest” November 12.

Born in Hazleton he was the son of the late John M. Heller and Helen (Mesko) Heller.

He was a member of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Parish at St. Ann’s Church, Freeland and social member of VFW Post 5010 and American Legion Post 473.

John loved spending time with his family and grandchildren also enjoying hunting and fishing.

He was employed as a maintenance mechanic for Air Products.

John was a Cub Scout Leader of Pack 650 and Boy Scout Leader of Troop 473.

Surviving is his Wife of 40 years the former JoAnn Litchko. Daughter; JoLynn Williams and her husband Matt and their son Logan. Son; John Heller and his companion Heather Donelson and her daughter Tatum Donelson and their sons- Jake and Hunter Heller. Sisters; Jacqueline Malloy and her husband Joe and Jean Martin and her husband Joe. Several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews also survive.

Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday November 17 10am in Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Parish 898 Centre St. Freeland.

Friends may call at the church on Friday from 9 to10am.

Burial will follow in St. Casimir’s Cemetery, Freeland.

John’s family would like to thank his caregiver, Glenn Donelson,  the staff LVHN Hazleton and Cedar Crest for the care and compassion during this difficult   time.
