John N. Evancho

January 18, 1944 - March 19, 2024

John N. Evancho 80 of Freeland passed away Tuesday March 19 at his home while surrounded by his family.
Born in Hazleton he was the son of the late John and Clara (Ravina) Evancho.
He was a member of St. Mary’s Byzantine Catholic Church, Freeland.
Before retiring he was a foreman for the former Garland Industries and a laborer for the Freeland Water Authority.
John loved attending his grandchildren’s events. He enjoyed fishing, racing, gardening, and his dogs.
Surviving are his wife of 53 years the former Barbara Hadzick. Son; John D. Evancho. Daughter; Nadine and her husband Ronald Beer. Brothers; Joseph and his wife Melane and Nicholas Evancho. Sister; Caroline DiNoia and her husband Gary. Grandchildren; Brianne and Ryan Williams. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Panachida will be celebrated Friday 10am at McNulty Funeral Home 494 East Butler Dr. Freeland. Rev. Scott Boshossian will officiate.
Friends may call at the funeral home Friday from 9 to 10am.
Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Freeland.
