James J. Wilson 90 of Drums who passed away Wednesday morning at the Corrigan House, Hazleton.
Born in Freeland he was the son of the late James C. and Bridget (Galdon) Wilson.
He was a member of Good Shepherd Church, Drums.
James was an honorable discharged Army veteran with the rank of Tec 4 who received the Exp. infantryman Badge, good conduct meal, Asiatic Pacific Theater Ribbon, Meritorious Unit Award, and the WWII Victory Ribbon.
Before retiring he was employed by Sterling industries Manufactures of commercial equipment Wilkes Barre where he was a plant engineer.
James obtained his pilots license and was a member of the Civil air patrol, he was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, his vegetable garden, and walking in woods.
Preceding him in death in addition to his parents is his Brothers; George and John and Sisters; Sophia Fuerstenberger and Jane Delfine.
Surviving are his Wife of 59 years the former Mary A. Dutzer. Sons; Christopher- Beaver Brook and James and his wife Pamela- Tennessee. Daughter- Erin and her husband John- Drums. Sisters; Theresa and her husband John Monahan- Montoursville and Mary Bridge- Hazleton. Grandchildren; Ryan Braddock, Gabriel and Elizabeth Zureck and Many nieces and nephews also survive.
Friends may call at Good Shepherd Church South Hunter Hwy. Drums on Saturday from 9 to 10am.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 am in Good Shepherd Church.
Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Drums.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to a charity of ones choice.
McNulty Funeral Home 494 East Butler Dr. Freeland is in charge of all arrangements.
