Irene Gower

April 10, 1929 - January 21, 2018

Irene Gower 88 of Freeland who passed away Sunday at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Hazleton.
Born in Freeland at the home where she was raised and resided her entire life Irene was the daughter of the late John and Mary (Salata) Gower.
She was a member of St. Mary’s Byzantine Catholic Church, Freeland.
Irene enjoyed going to the casino frequently.
Preceding her in death in addition to her parents is her Brothers; John and Michael. Sisters; Mary, Anna, Margaret, and Martha and her nephew; Thomas also preceded her in death.
Surviving is her Brother; George and his wife Pat- Florida. Nephew; Paul and his wife Carol Gower- Drums. Nieces; Linda and her husband Tom Sabo- Allentown, Karol Uptain- Arizona, and Karen Ryan and her husband Marty- Nevada.
Memorial services will be announced in few months in a later edition of the Standard Speaker.
Burial will be at the convenience of the family in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Freeland.
