Diane L. Bogansky, 87, of the Middletown section in Hazle Township passed away Friday January 12, 2024, at St. Luke’s Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Hazleton.

Born in Hazleton, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Anna (Solak) Crofcheck, and her childhood home was in Jeddo #5. She was a member of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Parish at St. Ann’s Church, Freeland, and a former member of St. John’s Nepomucene Church, Freeland.

Diane focused her life on her family and spent countless hours with them as they grew. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She provided love and guidance to her family throughout her life and considered her family her greatest achievement. Diane was an avid reader, and enjoyed watching television, especially her soap operas and Penn State football. She was happiest when her family was with her, especially on holidays when she gathered her family for traditional holiday meals.

Diane was employed by the former Tungsol – Weatherly and Flash Variety Store – Freeland.
Preceding her in death in addition to her parents was husband of 67 years, Michael J. Bogansky Sr. who recently passed on November 16, 2023; an infant daughter in 1963, daughter Deborah in 1996, brothers; Peter, Thomas, John, and Robert, and sister Carol. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Surviving are sons; Michael Jr. and spouse Diane, David and spouse Dylan, and Marcus and partner John Bloshinski. Daughter; Michaelene Panzarella and partner Michael Kiehl; grandchildren, Tony Panzarella and spouse Christy, Michael C. and spouse Miranda, Megan and partner Donald Aleckna, Courtney and fiancé Zac Bowman, and Emily and spouse Kevin Cremi; step grandchildren; Emily Brozzoski, Caitlin Quinn and spouse Jay; great-grandchildren; Sofia, Lilah, and Landon, and step great-grandchildren; Leo, Charlie, Chase, and Aiden; Sister-in-laws; Anna married to the late Peter Crofcheck, Anna married to the late Thomas Crofcheck and Janelle married to the late Robert Crofcheck; brother-in-law George Sheaman, married to the late Carol Sheaman, also survive.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10am on Saturday January 20th at Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Parish 898 Centre St. Freeland. Friends may call at the church on Saturday from 9 to10am. A burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Drums.

In lieu of flowers, memorial book donations may be made to a library of choice or donations to a preferred charity.

McNulty Funeral Home 494 East Butler Dr. Freeland is in charge of arrangements.
