Coyla Verlee Whitmer

April 15, 1956 - April 20, 2019

Coyla V. Whitmer 63 of Freeland passed away Saturday at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Hazleton on April 15, 1956 she was the daughter of the former Marvel (Sanute) Kimmel and the late Charles Kimmel.
She was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church, Freeland where she a leader in the Youth Fellowship Program and was active in the Mystery Sisters church group.
Coyla enjoyed attending craft shows, shopping in Lancaster and being a home interior decorator.
Preceding her in death in addition to her father was her brother; Charles Kimmel Jr.
Surviving is her Husband; Pastor Mark Whitmer. Daughters; Brenda Polashenski and her husband Brian; Hazleton and Charlotte Hauze and her fiancé; Christopher Petrick; Freeland. Son; Terry Hauze and his wife Denise; Freeland. Step children; Kimberly Ann Whitmer; Upper Lehigh and Mark I. Whitmer and his wife Rachael- Freeland. 9 grandchildren; Mariah Jones, Tyler Polashenski, Isaac Pugh, Mark Pall, Robert Hetherington, Madison and Gabrielle Hauze, Sarah Polashenski, and Sophia Whitmer and 3 great grandchildren; Christopher Jones, Jocelynn Polashenski, and Margot Jones also survive.
Viewing will be held on Sunday April 28 from 6 to 8pm and on Monday from 11 to noon in Bethel Baptist Church, 725 Ridge St. Freeland.
Services will be celebrated in church on Monday 12 noon at church by her husband Pastor Mark Whitmer.
Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
