Bruce J. Hopeck, 51, of Freeland passed away Sunday November 27 at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Hazleton.

Born in Hazleton on September 4, 1971 he is the son of Jean (Steward) Hopeck and the late Albert Hopeck.

He was a member of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Parish at St. Ann’s Church, Freeland.

Bruce loved his family and adored his friends, some of his favorite things in life were motorcycle rides, cars, fishing, hunting, guns, grilling, golfing, and of course he was always ready to lend a helping hand.

He was an active member of the Flying Aces MC. He also was a member of the Hazleton Owls and a social member Reading MC.

Bruce worked for PennDOT for over 20 years and his current position was Equipment Manager for District 5.

Preceding him in death in addition to his father, Albert, was his beloved  brother, Albert “AJ”.

Surviving in addition to his mother, Jean Steward, is his wife of 19 years, Tracey. Son; Bruce Jr. Daughter; Breanne. Brother; Jason. Sister; Mimi Roman and her husband Mike. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday 11 am at Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception at St. Ann’s Church 898 Centre St. Freeland.

Friends may call at the church Saturday from 9 to 11am.

Burial will be at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers donations can be placed at any Toys for Tots location.

McNulty Funeral Home 494 East Butler Dr. Freeland is in charge of arrangements.
