Asa R. Shotwell 87 formally of Luzerne passed away Monday morning at Mt. City Nursing and Rehabilitation, Hazleton.

Born in Dallas he was the son of the late Asa and Irene (Andrews) Shotwell.

He was an honorably discharged Army Veteran

Before retiring he was a cook.

Asa loved to fish, shoot pool, and play pitch.

Preceding him in death in addition to his parents was Son; Dwayne “Sonny”. Brothers; Byron, George, and Harold. Sister Eileen McDonald also preceded him in death.

Surviving are Sons; Asa B. and Martin. Daughters; Eileen Mitchell, Carla Emel, and Danielle Strollo. Brother; Carl Shotwell. Sister: Irene Emil. Many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Members of the Dallas American Legion Post 672 will accord services on Friday 11am in Chapel Lawn Memorial Park 4115 Memorial Highway, Dallas Pa.

Friends may pay their respects at the cemetery on Friday from 10 to 11am.
