Alice J. Piazzi 86, a former resident of Freeland, who most recently resided at The Laurel’s Hazleton, passed away Tuesday May 10 surrounded by her daughters.
Born in Jeddo she was the daughter of the late Michael and Mary (Serock) Bartko.
She was a member of the former St. Anthony’s Church and Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Parish at St. Ann’s Church, Freeland.
Preceding her in death in addition to
her parents was her husband; Victor J. Piazzi and 9 brothers and sisters
Surviving are daughters; Alice Ann Middleton and her husband Robert, Cindy Nole and her husband Dominick, Teri Lutz and her husband Brian, and Marina Blevins and her husband John. Grandchildren; Lauren Werner, Erin Timko, McKenna Middleton, Dylan and Ian Blevins. Great Grandchildren; Madison ‘Mopsy” Middleton, Victoria Werner and Quinn Timko.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday 11 am at Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Parish 898 Centre St. Freeland.
Friends may call at the church from 10 to 11am.
Entombment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Drums.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations, in her name, be made to The Capital Fund at Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Parish or The Laurel’s Activity Fund 23 Faith Drive Hazleton PA 18202.
