Anastasia “Stacy” Gallagher, 86, formally of Freeland and a guest at Providence Place where she passed peacefully on Monday, July 21st.
Born in McAdoo on March 16, 1939 she was the daughter of the late Michael and Anna (Yalch) Burcak.
She was a member of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Parish, Freeland.
Before retiring she was employed by the former St. Joseph’s Hospital, Hazleton as a medical records filer.
Preceding her in death in addition to her parents was her husband, John in 1988, son, Ryan in 2004, and brother, Thomas Burcak.
Surviving are son, John of Freeland; daughter, Tracy and her husband, Donald Karpowich of Sugarloaf; grandchildren, Stephanie and her husband Joseph Scatton and Sydney Karpowich and great granddaughter, Alivia Scatton. Many nieces and nephews also survive.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday July 25th at 10:30am in Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Parish, 898 Centre St., Freeland.
Friends may call at the church on Friday from 10 to 10:30am.
Burial will follow in St. Ann’s Cemetery, Freeland.
