Rose Ann Chippi 86 of Freeland passed away Monday September 30 at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Hazleton.

Born  in Eckley on August 31, 1938 she was the daughter of the late Frank and Stella (Sulkowski) Marshlick.

She was a 1956 high school graduate and a member of the former St. Casimier’s Church where she was very active in the choir and interfaith choir, making pierogies and halupki for church functions and a member of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Parish both of Freeland.

Rose loved her family and camping.

Before retiring she was employed as a seamstress for the former Freeland Shirt Factory.

Preceding her in death in addition to her parents was Husband; George of 61 years who passed away in 2018 whom she married in 1957. Brothers; Stanley and Thomas Marshlick. Infant sister; Mary Ann. Sister; Frances (Breznak) Wagner.

Surviving are Sons; Michael, Darren and his wife Lenore, and George Jr.  Daughters; Theresa Chippi, Dolores Yanac, and Lynn Donnely. Sister; Agnes Klynowski. Many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews also survive.

Friends may call at the Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Parish 898 Centre St. Freeland on Saturday October 5 from 10 to 11am. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11am.

Burial will follow in St. Casimier’s Cemetery, Freeland.
