Rita M Yanochko Kushner

May 15, 1930 - December 29, 2016

Rita M. Yanochko 86 of Freeland who passed away Thursday.
Born in Hazleton she was the daughter of the late George and Elizabeth (Boder) Kushner.
She was a graduate of Freeland High School and a member and organist of the former St. John’s Nepomucene Church and a member of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Parish at St. Ann’s Church, both of Freeland.
Rita loved spending time with her family, grandchildren, and pets she also enjoyed sitting and socializing with family and friends on her front porch. 
Preceding her in death in addition to her parents was her Brothers; George Kushner who was killed in WWII and Edward Kushner and Brother-in-law; Paul Rizzuto.
Surviving is her husband of 53 years Edward their anniversary was on December 28, 2016, Sons; Michael and Susan Martincek- Yanochko, John- Kresgeville Pa., Edward and Paul both of Freeland.   Daughters; Patricia Nesler and her husband Larry -Macungie Pa. and Susan Wilkinson and her husband Kenny- Pond Creek. Sister; Elizabeth Rizzuto- New Jersey. Grandchildren; Trevor Wilkinson, Stephanie and Matthew Yanochko, and Jack Nesler. Sister-in-law; Alice Kushner and many nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral will celebrated Saturday 9:30am in Immaculate Conception Parish at St. Ann’s Church 898 Centre St. Freeland.
Friends may call at the church Saturday from 8:30 to 9:30am.
