Norman E. Ceriani 85 of Freeland passed away Wednesday morning at the Pavilion at St. Luke’s.
Born in Hazleton he was the son of the late Julio and Pia (Zanella) Ceriani.
He was a member of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Parish at St. Ann’s Church, Freeland.
Norm was an honorably discharged Army Veteran with the Rank of Spec. 4, Third degree Knights of Columbus,and a member of the American Legion Post 473.
Before retiring he was a Tool and Die maker for Wagner Electric and a Tool Repairman for PP and L.
He adored his grandchildren and enjoyed fishing with his friend Jay McDermott, attending car shows with his friend Dr. Joe DellaCroce, watching the New York Yankees and Notre Dame, and tinkering with anything mechanical (Except Weedwackers).
Preceding him in death in addition to his parents was his Sisters; Antoinette Batcha and Lindell Knox.
Surviving is his Wife of 61 years the former Anne Marie Gaffney. Son; Gary and his wife Karen- Dillsburg. Daughter; Maureen and her husband Randy Bell- Freeland. Sister; Irene Lynn- Warminster. Brother; Julius- Freeland. Grandchildren; Meghan Bell, Lindsi and her husband- Daniel Guerrisi, Makensi and Kelsi Ceriani. Great Grandson; Sawyer. Several sisters and brothers in law. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Friends may call Monday from 9 to 10 am at he Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Parish at St. Ann’s Church 898 Centre St. Freeland with Mass of Christian Burial 10am in church.
Burial will follow in St. Ann’s Cemetery, Freeland.
In leiu of flowers donations can be made to a charity of one’s choice.
McNulty Funeral Home 494 East Butler Dr. Freeland is in charge of arrangements.
