Leo M. Wydock 96 of Freeland passed away Sunday June 9 at Lehigh Valley Hospital.
Born in Pond Creek he was the son of the late John and Maryanna (Buyarski) “Wydra” Wydock.
He was a member of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Parish at St. Ann’s Church, Freeland, Holy Name Society of the former St. Casimir’s Church where he was also an usher, social member of American Legion post 473, and a life member of VFW post 5010.
Leo loved gardening, plants, casino trips, scratch offs, and visits to the post.
He was employed by the former Weatherly Foundry as a crane operator later retiring from Citterio, Freeland.
Preceding him in death in addition to his parents was his wife of 57 years the former Elizabeth “Betty” DaGrosa. Brothers; John and Eddie. Sisters; Marcella Kislan and Clara Titus.
He is the last surviving member of his immediate family.
Surviving are Son; Leon. Daughters; Patricia and Barbara. Several nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.
Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Thursday June 13 at 10am in Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception parish 898 Centre St. Freeland.
Burial will follow in St. Ann’s Cemetery, Freeland.
Friends may call at the church on Thursday from 9 to 10am.
