Kathleen Leichtman Mulhearn

June 17, 1935 - April 1, 2016

Kathleen Leichtman 80 of Hazleton passed away at Friday at St. Luke’s Manor where she was lovingly cared for the past 10 years.
Born in Freeland she was the daughter of the late Joseph A. and Elizabeth (Haggerty) Mulhearn.
She was of Catholic faith.
Before retiring in 1998 she was a Registered Nurse for St. Luke’s Manor and the former St. Joseph’s Hospital, Hazleton.
Kathleen loved to play bingo.
Preceding her in death in addition to her parents was her Son; Alan J.. Daughter; Cynthia Marie. Brother; Jospeh Mulhearn and Elizabeth Benyo.
Surviving is her Husband of 54 years Jay. Sons; Robert and his wife Ann- Hazleton and Jeffrey and his wife Edie- Kelayres.. Daughter; Cheryl Shemanski and her husband Gerald- Hazle Twp. Grandchildren; Kayla and Kristina Shemanski and Connor and Evangeline Leichtman, several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral will be held Tuesday 9am from the McNulty Funeral Home 494 East Butler Dr. Freeland with Mass of Christian Burial 9:30 in Immaculate Conception Parish at St. Ann’s Church.
Burial will follow in St. Ann’s Cemetery, Freeland.
