John Albert Kavitski 90 of Freeland died Sunday at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown.
Born in Eckley he was the son of the late John and Anna (Corotitus) Kavitski.
He was a member of Immaculate Conception parish at St. Ann’s Church, Freeland.
John was an honorably discharged WWII Army Air Force Sgt. where he was a radio operator in B29’s.
Before retiring he was a radio repairman for Tobyhanna Army Depo.
He loved attending all sporting events for his grandchildren, fishing, hunting, playing pinochle, and working on his grandsons racecar.
Preceding him in death in addition to his parents is his Brother; Thomas and Joseph.
Surviving is his Wife of 66 years the former Dorothy Keyock. Son; David and his wife Debra- Freeland. Sisters; Marguerite Bobby and Cecelia Kavitski both of Freeland. Grandchildren; April, Kelly, and Richard. Great Grandchildren; Jenna and Lily. Grand Son-in-laws; Kevin Stower and Christopher Zukowsky and a few nieces and nephews also survive.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday 9:30am in Immaculate Conception Parish at St. Ann’s Church, 898 Centre St. Freeland.
Friends may call at the church Thursday from 8:30 to 9:30am.
Burial will follow in St. Casimir’s Cemetery, Freeland.
McNulty Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
