Jeffrey R. Sabo 72 formally of White Haven a guest at the Pavillion at St. Luke’s, Hazleton where he passed away Monday September 9.

Born in Hazleton he was the son of the late John W. and Agnes (McKiniry) Sabo.

He was a member of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception parish at St. Ann’s Church, Freeland and a 1970 graduate of Freeland High School later attending Ryder Technical Institue Allentown.

Jeff enjoyed playing golf with his brother and was athletic and very involved with the YMCA where he was a coach.

Before retiring he was a manager for Weatherly Casting and Machine.

Preceding him in death in addition to his parents was Sister; Annellen Swankosky.

Surviving are his wife of 48 years the former Janet L. Carey. Daughter; Shannon Sabo. Brothers; Michael, David, Tom, and John Sabo. Many nieces and nephews also survive.

Friends and relatives may call at Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Parish 898 Centre St. Freeland on Friday September 13 from 5 to 6pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 6pm.

Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
