Francis G. Kimock 76 of Freeland Pa. who died Friday at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown.
Born in Hazleton he was the son of the late Andrew and Anna (Zubatch) Kimock.
He was a member of St. Mary’s Byzantine Catholic Church, Freeland, Jeddo Stars, VFW post 5010, American Legion Post 473, and the Chicken Pluckers.
Before retiring he was employed for 37 years as a maintenance worker for the 3M Corporation.
Francis was an honorably discharged SP4 Army Veteran who served from 1958 to 1964.
He was an active accordion player in the polka bands The Nobody’s and Just Us. Francis was an avid hunter who enjoyed horseshoes, throwing darts, his garden and was a very proud New York Giants and Philadelphia Phillies fan.
Preceding him in death in addition to his parents was his wife the former Catherine D. Carr 2016. Daughter; Christine Kimock and brothers; John and Thomas.
Surviving is his Daughter; Lisa and her husband Tom- NJ. Brother; Andrew Kimock- NJ. Sisters; Anna Superdock- NJ and Maryann Nowak- Freeland. Many nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral will be held Thursday 9am from the McNulty Funeral Home 494 East Butler Dr. Freeland with Office of Christian Burial celebrated 9:30am in St. Mary’s Byzantine Catholic Church, Freeland.
Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Drums.
Friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday evening from 4 to 8pm and Thursday from 8 to 9am.
