Emil J. Yanochko

April 29, 1931 - February 8, 2021

Emil J. Yanochko 89 of Freeland passed away Monday February 8 at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Hazleton.

Born in Highland he was the son of the late John and Susan (Jacko) Yanochko.

He was a member of St. Michael’s Orthodox church, Freeland.

Before retiring he was an equipment operator for 35 years at the White Haven Center.

Emil enjoyed wrestling, hunting, gardening, planting, and keeping up with current events.

Preceding him in death in addition to his parents was his wife Irene 2015 and Brother; Edward.

Surviving are his children; Donna and her husband William Brugger- Hazleton, David Yanochko and his wife Ann- West Hazleton, and Mary Susan and her husband James Powell- Freeland. Grandchildren; Brandon, Kristopher, Jonathan Brugger, and Taylor Powell. Great Granddaughter; Ava and several nieces and nephews also survive.

Private Liturgy will be celebrated in St. Michael’s Orthodox church, Freeland.

Burial will follow in Ss. Peter’s and Paul’s EGC Cemetery, Freeland.
