Edward Yanochko Sr

January 15, 1935 - January 25, 2017

Edward Yanochko Sr. 82 of Freeland who passed away Wednesday at Mt. City Nursing and Rehabilitation, Hazleton.
Born in Highland he was the son of the late John and Susan (Jacko) Yanochko.
He was a member of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Parish at St. Ann’s Church, Freeland.
Before retiring he was a mechanic for the former Silvernell Services Station, Freeland and the Tobyhanna Army Depot as a lieutenant in security.
Ed loved sitting on his front porch with his wife Rita. He was a devoted man and caretaker to his family who enjoyed animals and any sports especially baseball and football.
Preceding him in death in addition to his parents was his Wife of 53 years the former Rita Kushner who passed away on December 29, 2016.
Surviving is his Sons; Michael and his wife Susan Martincek – Yanochko- Freeland, John; Kresgeville Pa., Edward Jr. and Paul both of Freeland.    Daughters; Patricia Nesler and her husband Larry- Macungie Pa. and Susan Wilkinson and her husband Kenny- Pond Creek. Brother; Emil Yanochko- Freeland. Grandchildren; Trevor Wilkinson, Stephanie and Matthew Yanochko, and Jack Nesler. Many nieces and nephews also survive.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday 10:30am in Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Parish at St. Ann’s Church 898 Centre St. Freeland.
Friends and relatives may call at the church Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30am.
Burial will be at the convenience of the family in Calvary Cemetery, Drums.
