Clarence C. “Chick” Balderston 77 of Hazleton who passed away at Pleasant Valley Manor, Stroudsburg on Wednesday May 9, 2018 one year to the day of his wife’s passing.
Born in Philadelphia he was the son of the late Clarence Burris and Leona (Moser) Balderston and Stepson of the late Leonard Paxson.
He was of Lutheran faith.
Clarence loved driving bus for Motor Transportation and playing poker.
Before retiring in addition to driving for Motor Transportation he was a US Postal Service mailman for 20 years, and was the owner / operator of Chick’s Place, Hazleton.
He was an honorably discharged Navy veteran with the rank of Raderman Third Class.
Preceding him in death in addition to his parents and stepfather was his Wife; Linda- May 9, 2017. Infant Sister; Barbara Ann Balderston.
Surviving is his Sons; David Balderston and his wife Beth- South Carolina, Daniel Balderston and his wife Rose – White Haven, and Michael Balderston and his wife Kathy- Hazleton. Daughter- Barbara and her husband Jay Glover- Twain Harte CA.. Sister; Joyce and her husband Bill Weber- Hazleton. Many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews also survive.
Friends may call Saturday from 4 to 7pm at the McNulty Funeral Home 494 East Butler Dr. Freeland.
Burial will be at convenience of the family.
