Amelia M. Rodzewich 83 of Freeland passed away Monday evening at Fritzingertown Senior Living, Drums.
Born in Freeland she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Lucy (Esola) Ferreira.
She was a member of the former St. Casimir’s Church and now a member of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Parish at St. Ann’s Church, Freeland.
Before retiring she was employed for 30 years as a cashier for Freeland Food Mart and as a housekeeper for the Hazleton Area School District.
Amelia loved her grandchildren, ice cream, watching game shows, and reading the paper.
Preceding her in death was her Husband of 25 years Peter 1986. Son; Peter 2010. Brothers; Joseph and John.
Surviving are Son; Steven –Home. Daughter; Debbie Breznitsky-Freeland. Grandchildren; Tyler, Cynthia, and Anthony. Nephews; Tony, Joseph, and Rocco. Daughter-in-law; Patti- California. Sisters-in-laws; Agnes and Mary Lou Ferreira also survive.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday 11am in Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Parish at St. Ann’s Church 898 Centre St. Freeland.
Due to Covid19 a walk through viewing will be held from 10 to 11am at church.
Burial will follow in St. Casimir’s Cemetery, Freeland.
